Mrs. Tish Stewart
6-8th Science & History Teacher
Born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico, Ms. Tish grew up with alligators and tarantulas as part of her posse—so a little desert wildlife doesn’t scare her!
With a B.A. in Natural History of the American Southwest Deserts and as a PMBIA-Certified Mountain Biking Instructor, Ms. Tish brings years of outdoor experience and hands-on learning to Nature Days.
She is also the mom of two adult children whom she homeschooled through high school. Their everyday classroom often looked more like a National Geographic Explorer program than a traditional school day—filled with outdoor adventures, nature discoveries, history, science, and plenty of hands-on learning.
From desert plants and wildlife to fossils, animal tracks, stars, and the occasional mysterious “snake hole,” Ms. Tish believes the best learning happens when you get outside, get curious, and experience it for yourself. Guiding folks on foot or by bike, the Sonoran Desert is ours to explore!
Let’s get outside, get curious, and adventure together on Nature Days!
